Womens and Women’s & Children CrossRoads:
a sanctuary of support and recovery for mothers and women in Washoe County
How it Works
CrossRoads provides two programs for women: one for women without children and one for those with children. All women start at the Women’s Campus, and mothers who progress in the program can transition to the Cottages to live with their children in a supportive, family-focused environment.
The enrollment form is the same for both programs. To apply for our Women’s program, please follow the link below - it only takes 5-7 minutes!
Women’s Program
Women’s CrossRoads is a recovery-focused, supportive living program that provides housing, structure, and accountability for men overcoming substance use disorders. The program utilizes a therapeutic community model, meaning residents support one another through shared responsibility, peer accountability, and a structured daily schedule. Women’s CrossRoads empowers participants to rebuild their lives and re-enter the community with stability and purpose.
Women and Children’s Program
The Women and Children CrossRoads program provides a sober, safe, and supportive home for mothers recovering from substance use, mental health issues, who are homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless.
Women are able to reside in the Cottages with their children, and those involved with the child welfare system may stay while working toward reunification. Residents receive wrap-around services including case management, alcohol/drug counseling, parenting support and education, and volunteer/work opportunities.
